Analyse market needs

A full prompt, exactly as it appears in the library. It works the Jobs-to-Be-Done framework across your products and services, then closes with where demand is underserved, where people will pay, and which jobs match what you already do well.

Techniques: named framework, structured output, clarifying questions before analysis, defined synthesis, Markdown formatting.

# Your task
Conduct a structured market needs analysis for our products and services using the Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD) framework.

For each major job-to-be-done, provide:
- Functional job - the core task customers are trying to accomplish
- Emotional jobs - how customers want to feel, or avoid feeling, while doing it
- Key pain points and unmet needs - what frustrates customers about current solutions
- Desired outcomes - what would make the job easier, faster, cheaper or more effective
- Current solutions and competitors - how customers solve the job today and which brands or products are most relevant
- Market trends and drivers - technological, economic or social factors shaping demand for this job
- Opportunities for differentiation - gaps where a new or improved offering could create competitive advantage

Finally, summarise the insights:
- Which jobs are most underserved today?
- Where is willingness to pay strongest?
- Which jobs align best with our strengths?

During the research, ask me relevant questions and wait until I answer them.

# Output
- Structure your answer in a table, or job-by-job sections, for clarity
- Use Markdown for the output

Who it's for

Three roles these prompts were written for.

01

Board members

Non-executive directors preparing for meetings with more material than time, who need sharper questions rather than longer summaries.

02

C-suite executives

Leaders building strategy documents, benchmarking competitors, and turning financial data into presentations their board can read.

03

L&D and governance teams

Teams equipping a board or leadership group with a shared, safe starting point for AI use. Corporate licensing available below.

Not for you if you want AI to make the decision. These prompts generate perspectives and do research. They do not replace your judgement, and the library says so plainly.

Do I need any technical skill?

No. Every prompt is pasted whole, with placeholders in square brackets for your own detail. Nothing is configured or coded.

Is it safe to use with confidential board material?

The library opens with a three-tier framework for classifying what you hold: never shared, anonymised first, already public. Several prompts set the confidentiality terms before any analysis begins.

Can I share it with my board or team?
